Your RIGHT TO Vote Counts! Here are the 1-2-3s on goin’ and gettin’ in line for the next election
It’s your right to vote
I know that I’m just starting on the Merch project (this design is showcased in my store), but voting is just around the corner! In five months, there could be a new U.S. President waiting to get into the White House. This means, sign up, show up, and get inline. click those buttons and fill in those dots! A new year is coming, and it’s brings all sorts of guesstimates on the next nearly half a decade will look.
While we are talking about looks, grab yourself a VOTE shirt and start a conversation with your friends now on the importance of voting, not only for the entire nation, but for your own backyard as well. You can change your local government.
Here is how you do it
- If you are already registered to vote, double check your details online, or at your nearest election office and request a voters registration card to formalize confirmation of your details 🔴
- Show up and vote! ⚪️
Be the change you want to see and educate yourself on your neighborhood’s issues. Many times the bills that are being passed, or bypassed, are summarized in legal language that may be unclear in a one line sentence that you are being asked to select an opinion on. You don’t have a chance in the voting booth to review or research what the bills are truly trying to deliver to the public. Stay educated on local issues. Be patient and positive, this is your chance to make a difference in the larger frame of the American people.
What are some conversations you would like to see our government officials talk about? Are there any topics that hit home for you personally? I’d like to share one of my issues that, here in Texas, has been a very interesting conversation to follow. (this is not about the two major topics of the day – COVID19 or the #blacklivesmatter movement). However, it was picked up by a media channel and distributed worldwide.
Your right to vote can affect the little things around you personally that will make a greater impact
I love sharing this story about my dear friend Hunter. She was totally marginalized and lied to by a very large corporation. Unfortunately for them, they thought she would just slide it under the rug and go on with her daily business. However, her friends and family were so appalled at the behavior by a corporate giant, we had to step in. All it took was one email to get the media involved. You can see how your one small choice can have a major impact on someone else’s life.
